UV curing involves a chemical process called cross-linking that instantly changes a liquid

UV coating into a completely dry, diamond-hard finish at the very moment it is exposed to UV light.

The technology behind UV curing has been available for decades. Unfortunately, it was always limited to the factory setting, as the size and cost of the equipment was prohibitive for field applications. But over the years, manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, and flooring industries have proven these UV curable coatings to be durable, reliable, and long-lasting finishes.

Recent advances in lighting and power supply technology have given rise to the development of new “portable” UV curing equipment. Coating manufacturers began formulating specially designed UV-curable coatings for site-applied applications. These are available in a variety of colours and sheens, and most have an unlimited pot life. As a result, the benefits of UV finishes are now available for refinishing Concrete,Smoothing Compounds, Lino,Vinyl,Rubber, Terrazzo and Wood floor surfaces.

Because UV coatings are one-component systems, there is no mixing or waste of materials. For facilities pursuing green building certifications, near-zero VOC emissions make them an excellent choice.

The DecoRad® Floormate can instantly cure approximately 250 square meter per hour (depending on the type of basefloor, layer thickness and product)

The DecoRad® Handmate is a great tool for smaller work. Within few minutes, surfaces can be fully dried and cured. this is ideal for instantly drying and curing door steps, frames, steps, doors and perimeters of larger areas,
 




1) Prep the floor

Shot-blast or grind surface,Sand, and vacuum debris.













2) Add Coating

Professional applicators apply the desired coating(s).













3) UV Cure

One pass over the coating and it is dry instantly.








4) Use

The floor is ready for immediate use once curing is complete.
